Some good news to counter a bit of the bad
There was a by-election last week in Gorton and Denton, Manchester. A Labour “safe seat” which they had kept since the 1931 UK general election. But …
Labour were thrashed, not even getting as many votes as the even-more-racist Reform lunatics.
Yay!

And this loss was despite (or because of?) Labour driving vans around the area accusing Greens of wanting to turn residents’ daughters into prostitutes! You couldn’t make it up. Labour are a disgrace. Luckily anyone with a brain can see through their outrageous lies nowadays.
Labour’s True Face
Just so you know what Labour are like when they think no one is watching: the previous Labour MP for the area, Andrew Gwynne, had posted in a Labour WhatsApp group that a good response to an elderly resident in his constituency would be:
“Dear resident, Fuck your bins. I’m re-elected and without your vote. Screw you. PS: Hopefully you’ll have croaked it by the all-outs”.
He also said Diane Abbott’s appearance as the first black woman at Prime Minister’s Questions was a “joke”.
Labour are a billionaire-funded party for the rich, implicit in numerous war crimes, allied to terrorist states like the USA and Israel. Nothing they do or say surprises me any more.
I Love Denton Even More
As an aside, I’m a huge fan of the British film, The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
In the film, The Criminologist (played by Charles Gray) reveals that the whole story is based on his notes about a bizarre tale from Denton. The film is just a dramatisation of some of his evidence, stored in a book called The Denton Affair.
Thus, I have always considered the true name of the film and play to be The Denton Affair. Words dear to my heart.
And after the way the people of Denton and Gorton voted, I am more proud of them than ever! Yet another strange and wonderful case for the records …
