Kindness And Paganism
Some thoughts
Kindness is one of the most revolutionary acts we can undertake. It is the antithesis of the culture pushed by the megarich, capitalism, consumerism, materialism, settler-colonialism, Zionism, racism, sexism, and all the other negative world views that dominate our media.
It is kindness to take care of each other. And beyond that, to take care of all life, and the planet.
It’s a cultural lie that hard work is what leads to success and security. Rich people are usually born to wealth. They are supported, inducted, indoctrinated, funded, to create the next generation of selfish people who espouse the inequality their lifestyle depends on. It’s easy to take risks when you have security and a financial safety net. The media specifically focusses on those who “make it” to help perpetuate the lie. They ignore the invisible ultra-wealthy who aren’t in the public eye. They own the corporations, the finance companies, the private islands and jets and yachts, the lawyers who protect them, the financial advisers who enable them to avoid taxes, and the media that shields their identities and sows the lie.
In reality, most of us struggle at the edge for life, and always will, whilst this inequality is perpetuated.
Most types of paganism foster a deep relationship to the land, to nature, to the divine and the self. We improve ourselves by connecting to something greater than us. It becomes a way of life. We celebrate life, and we accept death, as it is all a turn of the wheel.
So take responsibility for your actions. They have a ripple effect on the rest of the world, like a stone thrown into a pond. Be the good ripple. Be the support. Sow love, not violence. See how we are all interconnected and equal, rather than hoarding resources like the evil do. Don’t be afraid to talk about your beliefs, and to challenge others. We are fighting for the survival of the planet.
Bright blessings upon you.
