Humans Are Wasteful
Disappointed
Last week I pulled a dumped shopping trolley from the river with my trusty grappling hook. (The trolley was a Tesco one – boo, hiss – they refuse to use coin deposit on shopping trolleys so they end up polluting our waterways.)
On another day I waded into a different bit of the river with a friend and we dragged out rusting metal and bicycles (image above). My legs got covered in scratches and stings from brambles and nettles as we searched a river island for rusted metal, but it is worth it to leave the place a bit better for wildlife and nature.
I may just avoid wearing shorts for a while.
Peace.
