Being Nice
Some thoughts
It’s good to think of how you can help others. There’s a lot you can do and it really doesn’t take much effort.
Go and read to someone in a nursing home, or just visit to talk (and listen). Go play with some kitties or dogs at a rescue centre, then help with cleaning out. Donate some blankets, food or toys for shelter animals with no family to call their own. Make some sandwiches and hand them out to the homeless. Donate your time, or money, or both, to a needy cause. Do you know someone who has lost their job? Send them a gift card so they can buy a few essentials. Do a litter pick.
Is there something you can do through your job to help others? Or that your company can do? If you are a writer, why not help out at your local public, school or hospital library? Donate some books of your own, and any by other writers that you have lying around the house.
There are millions of options when you think about it.
Little things are important, and can make a difference.
PS I’m also an author. You can buy my books, or subscribe to my newsletter. I would be grateful for either. :-)
